Garden Party

Editor-in-chief, gerontologist

April 2016 From The Editor garden

My husband’s Christmas gift to me this year was a contract for a garden company to come in and set up raised beds for my outdoor garden area. They installed two large garden boxes and planted a bunch of veggies that we picked out together.

The vegetables are already coming in and it is so wonderful to walk out onto my covered patio and pick something to add to my dinner menu. There are new types of lettuce and greens that I had never heard of, as well as cabbage, beets, carrots and broccoli. As a 30 year plus vegetarian, this was the ultimate present. It is the gift that keeps on giving!
