Life goes on
Published January/February 2002

Cityscape January is indeed the month to slow down, take a look at life and re-evaluate what is happening around us. What is it that we stand for and how can we be better people? It is the time to continue doing the things that are working and more importantly, getting rid of what is not.

With the tragic events in New York, Pennsylvania and Washington still weighing heavily upon us, many are continuing to add deeper meaning to their lives. The collective loss we are carrying around is a constant reminder that life itself is truly a gift. We are still here and how can we make the days ahead count? How can we help those around us who desperately need our help? How can we be better fathers, mothers, daughters, sons and friends? We are really one big family that fares better when we all work together.

Robert Frost once said, "In three words, I can sum up everything I've learned about life: It goes on." It is up to each of us to make our life one of meaning. Those who sacrificed in September would expect nothing less.
