Millenium hype Published May 2000 Another year has gone by and summer will soon be upon us. With all the millenium hype and problems that 2000 was suppose to bring, it almost seems like we’ve missed out on something. All the planning and cautious behavior was really for nothing. As a Florida resident, it reminds me of the feeling I’ve experienced after one of our many hurricane scares. Part of me is so relieved when nothing happens, but there is this other illogical part that feels the intense preparation was a waste. But as I begin to plan for the summer months, I’ll give myself a pat on the back for making it through the turn of the century. I can worry again next month with the start of the hurricane season!
