  Top 10 wackiest drive-thru spots Published May/June 2001

  • 10 - Say "I do" at one of Las Vegas' famous, quickie, drive-thru wedding chapels.

  • 9 - Dropped a soda and stained your pants? No problem. Just zip on over to the drive-thru cleaners in Miami.

  • 8 - Visit a coffee shop in Maine and get your caffeine fix with a hot cup of java through your car window.

  • 7 - Cocktail, anyone? In Leesville, Louisiana you can place your order at a drive-thru liquor store.

  • 6 - Pay your respects on the move at a drive-thru funeral home in Mississippi.

  • 5 - Forgiveness has never been so convenient! Salvation is easy at a drive-in church in Daytona Beach, Florida.

  • 4 - Even flu shots don't require a trip to the doctor anymore. Get yours at a Houston medical center drive-thru for only ten bucks. One catch - you must stay off the road for at least twenty minutes to ensure you don’t have any type of adverse reaction to the shot.

  • 3 - Take a peek at an adult entertainment establishment in Pennsylvania that provides a convenient drive-by window for patrons who would rather enjoy the sights from the comforts of their own cars.

  • 2 - Hot dogs! Popcorn! Boiled peanuts? Apparently boiled peanuts are a very popular item on the Gulf Coast since they are readily available at a drive-thru in Mobile, Alabama.

  • 1 - A drive-thru daiquiri shop in New Orleans serves cool, alcoholic daiquiris to thirsty motorists! Go figure...
