The world around us may have changed drastically over the years, but the simple act of baking has not. Sure the instruments and tools have been updated, and some of the ingredients are new, but the joy derived from baking up a delicious treat can still be the same. It is a wonderful experience. With the holidays upon us, baking takes on an even greater meaning. For many, baking with friends and family is a special tradition. While no one can argue that the "finished product" is an important factor in such a task, the emotional and social dividends are equally important.
Carry on this tradition by baking with the children in your life. Kids love to bake and sharing this experience with them is educational too. You will be reinforcing math application during the measuring stage, art and creativity during the assembling stage and science during the baking stage. They will be having so much fun, they won't even know they are learning. And believe me, you will too!!!
